Map Interactions

Some contextual layers have features with metadata such as Incidents, left click over the feature to display its details.

In order to get the Longitude and Latitude of a point, right click on the map. To quickly copy the point details, click 'Copy to Clipboard'.

3D Scene Viewer

To see the map in 3D, click on 'Scene' in the top right corner. Be warned however that it isn't as performant and will be slower to update layers and loop.

Warning: The data displayed on the 3D viewer will not be overlayed at the correct heights, and may not represent the actual location of the feature/event.

Contextual Layers

Contextual Layers are non-loopable overlayers (except for Himawari Masked Temperature, which is loopable). Many of them may be active at once. Loading too many may affect performance.

The eye icon may be clicked to set the visibility of each layer. Underneath it may be a link to further controls for the layer, such as a Search function.

Satellite Imagery

Only one satellite imagery layer may be active at once and can be looped with the Time Slider.

Presets

Presets are available for quickly loading a particular configuration. Some exist by default however you're able to add your own. Do this by creating the setup you want, then open presets, give it a name and save it.

To update a preset, simply name it with the same name at an existing preset. This won't work with presets that come by default. To delete a preset, click the trash button. To load a preset, click the Load button.

Note: Presets are saved within the browser, and will have to be recreated if you move to another computer or use another browser.
